A Conversation in 37 fragments
2020
Gulbenkian Garden is a visual and poetic recount of a shared moment in the park.
Two people gather and rest under a tree. One reads On Photography and reflects on Susan Sontag questioning photography’s relationship to reality. The other holds a camera and records fragments of the visual world above, capturing the surroundings in which their exchange unfolds.
The transcription of the conversation is set to a suite of 37 images.
